Howdy!
My name is Kiera, and I’m a small-town Colorado girl who has been living in Berlin, Germany for three years. My love for art in all forms has always been strong, as the underlying magic of creation is making something that has beauty and purpose out in the world—whether it’s a scarf that keeps a loved one warm, a portrait that captures your family’s spirit, or a piece of clothing that is carefully mended rather than thrown away.
Alongside my art practice I run Mendifesto, a clothing repair/up-cycling business that offers services from simple repairs to gender-affirming alterations, ensuring that everyone has access to high-quality craftsmanship that cultivates the longevity of our closets. With sliding-scale pricing, I offer my services to as many people as possible.
Additionally, 5% of every sale or service supports causes close to my heart, including organizations fighting for gender-affirming care, organizations supporting garment workers, and crisis relief.
At its core, my work—whether on canvas or fabric—is about preserving, repurposing, and creating with intention. Mending is a political act, art can be a form of resistance, and I hope to use my skills to build something that lasts.
